Wurstig Update

Several people have asked me how Wurstig is doing? Has he recovered from his surgery? Well, the answer is yes and no. Wurstig is no longer in any pain. He moves around very well. He is timid to jump up on things but that is a good thing! His scar has healed up nicely. Why do I say that he isn't a 100 percent?? Well, the only way to describe how he walks is to look at the dual steering ladder fire truck. Sometimes the guy in the back turns too slowly or turns before the front guy. Well, it is like Wurstig has a driver up front and driver in the back. A lot of times, these guys get their signal just right and Wurstig moves normal. Sometimes, the signal is too late. So while the front of Wurstig is going around the corner, the back is still going straight. He will then fall down or bump in to a wall. But Wurstig is a trouper and this doesn't seem to bother him. It is quite comical in a sad sort of way. Another thing that we have noticed, is that Wurstig seems to be more frail. Wurstig was always very muscular and seem to be very stout. Now his back legs seem to be a little on the skinny side and he is a little more bony on his back. What hasn't changed is that Wurstig is a pain in the rear! He still voices his opinion in the manner of a bark. He still his removing the bark off the trees. And he is still doing demolition on the renter's kitchen.
