Since Grant has been able to understand anything, we have done our best to teach him to share. Last week, Daniel coached his soccer practice and game. We noticed that quite a few kids were complaining about another kid not sharing. Hmm... That is a hard one. How do we explain that during sports, you are not supposed to share, except maybe to your teammate? "Ok sweetie, I know that you are upset that Sally from the opposing team will not give you the ball but that is sports and you are not supposed to share with sports! Forget everything we have ever told you when you are playing sports, go and take the ball away from her!" Conflicting! But what can you do, sports do not include sharing, or being nice.
He plays every Saturday! This should be fun!

HA! We experienced the same thing with Soccer and Caroline. I didn't understand why she wasn't trying to take the ball until I realized that this concept went against the manners we were teaching her! They take a rule and apply it to all situations at that age. At least they knew the rule in the first place!
