The latest book that Oprah picked for her book club is one of my favorite books. I have always wondered why more people did not read this book. Whenever I mentioned this book, I would get a blank stare. Well this book is set in my favorite time - the middle ages. Yes, there is romance in the book but what I loved about the book was the building of huge Gothic cathedrals. Can you imagine the labor involved? The engineering, the architecture - wow! My step-father is the one who introduced this book to me. I highly recommend it.
