Twas the night before Kindergarten,
When all through the town,
The children were cheering,
What a happy sound.
Favorite Clothes, comfy shoes, and lunchboxes too!
New teachers, new friends…their excitement grew!
The parents just giggled as they tucked them in tight
And whispered in the ear….
GO TO BED! IT’S A SCHOOL NIGHT! (this poem was sent to Grant from his teachers the week before school)
He went to bed like it wasn’t a big deal. He is sleeping in guest bed because Miles is going through sleep training.
He got up easily enough and was ready to go. We walked him the two blocks to school and once he was there, he stopped acknowledging our existence. I guess we are not cool. That is ok! We understand. With his flippant attitude, I never cried.
