It is a beautiful day here. Today is Good Friday and one of my favorite days. I know it is a sad day but it is a respectful day. I remember fondly going to church as a child and it being very quiet and everyone was dressed in funeral like clothes. The service always included someone singing "Were you There?". Usually, it was my grandfather. He did such a great job on the song that I would have chills and would end up crying. PawPaw, I miss you and please know that I am thinking of you especially on today!
After service, everyone left in silence. There wasn't any congregating after church. That in itself was a very powerful message.
