Grant lied to me about washing his hands tonight. So I told him he would not get a book tonight. He decided to "read" one to himself.
He is reading "Ten Apples on Top" all by himself.. We have not read this book in a year or two.
Heather - "Grant you can read!"
Grant - "I just learned... I wasn't holding out on you!"
(he talks just like his dad)
Heather -"But you didn't tell me you knew all of these words!"
Grant - "I promise, I just learned to read today."
(haha...I think he doesn't want me to stop reading to him)
But seriously, he did need some help with this book.. I just am amazed that he learned what he has learned. Pre-K does not do sight words and we haven't been working on this either.
